Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) is naturally produced in the human body in very small amounts, but is also available in some foods. ALA is unique in that it can function in both aqueous (water) and lipid (fat) environments, which allows it to easily cross biological membranes to exert its actions. ALA is known to recycle vitamins C and E and some other free radical quenchers, extending their activities. Great supplement
Love that it’s a lozenge. Good taste so no arguments from the teenager taking them😊

Very rough
Well, health wise I’m assuming they do what they are supposed to do but calling them a ‘lozenge’ is a stretch. After the first one (directions say to let it dissolve, do not chew) my mouth got sore. Those things are ROUGH!!! I ended up dissolving them in boiling water (not an easy task) just to get them useable.
Needless to say, after a week or so I quit using. They need to be smoother and actually have the ability to dissolve.
