Natural Wellness for Everyone with Tom’s of Maine

Combining healthy, natural materials and functionality into the same products, Tom’s of Maine is a company that makes natural work effectively. They apply this idea to everything from beauty and personal care items like soaps and toothpaste, to men’s health, women’s health, and baby and child wellness products. Their toothpaste, including ingredients like propolis and myrrh, is enamel safe and contains no fluoride in many cases. Their body products use herbal oils and extracts to moisturize, rejuvenate, and heal, while avoiding artificial preservatives, colors, and fragrances.

Tom’s of Maine, Clean and Chemical-Free from the Start

As with so many companies, Tom’s of Maine started with the personal and expanded their mission to bring wellness to everyone. Tom and Kate Chappell, back in the late 1960s, started making clean, natural, chemical-free soaps, toothpaste, and more for their kids. By 1975, they’d gone into business selling their wholesome toothpaste recipe to the world. They soon added laundry detergent, soaps, and more, creating a natural products source that’s been growing in popularity for half a century.

Tom’s of Maine Gives Back Through Numerous Charities

Tom’s of Maine has a mission of caring, which applies to the planet that we all call home as much as their family or customers. They’re partnered with TerraCycle to recycle and reuse all packaging and containers into new, useful objects. This helps to keep their products out of landfills. They also share 10% of their profits with organizations like The Nature Conservancy and United Way. Employees of the company are encouraged to donate 5% of their time to volunteering, all part of Tom’s of Maine’s effort to make a difference.
