Organic Traditions Black Mulberries have been a prized superfruit since ancient times in Asian, European and Middle Eastern traditions. Revered in Asian Medicine as a cooling and nourishing Yin Tonic, strengthening both liver and kidney meridians, Mulberries are considered to be a gentle notifying food. They have also been used in TCM to prevent the premature graying of hair. Black Mulberries have a balanced sweet and tart flavor profile, while White Mulberries tend to have a sweeter taste. Due to their intense color, Black Mulberries contain a protective host of antioxidants. They are also a source of Vitamin C, Iron, Calcium and Fiber. Grown in remote pesticide free natural reserves, Organic Traditions Black Mulberries are hand harvested when ripe and gently air-dried. Laser cleaning ensures that only the highest quality Mulberries are selected. Needless to say, after a week or so I quit using. They need to be smoother and actually have the ability to dissolve.
