Golden Latte Mushroom Ingredients
- Organic Shiitake Mushroom (500 mg)
Four Sigmatic's pure, wood-grown shiitake mushroom extract is made by extracting the fruiting body of the fungi. The result is 500 mg of shiitake mushroom extract that's organic, non-GMO, and free from fillers and carriers. - Organic Turmeric
Turmeric is a staple spice in India, where it's used for everything from cooking to Ayurveda, one of the oldest-known systems of medicine in the world. Turmeric contains curcumin, which could support the production of collagen and the activity of skin-loving antioxidant properties already present in the body. - Organic Tulsi
Known as "The Queen of Herbs", Tulsi adds calming properties and contributes to the well-rounded flavor of this latte. - Organic Ginger
Aside from its great flavor, organic ginger powder is well studied for helpful effects on the digestive system including helping to calm nausea. - Organic Black Pepper
Black pepper contains a compound called piperine. Piperine could make the curcumin in turmeric more bioavailable, supporting its ability to produce collagen (why they always see black pepper + turmeric). - Organic Stevia
Four Sigmatic add a pinch of stevia leaf extract for calorie-free sweetness to round out the flavor. Four Sigmatic's stevia is a high-quality concentrated extract without the common metallic aftertaste. - Organic Coconut Palm Sugar
Four Sigmatic add just a little sweetness with organic coconut palm sugar that's a mineral-rich alternative to refined sugars. It is made by boiling down the sap of the coconut palm, the "maple syrup of the tropics". - Organic Coconut Milk Powder
Four Sigmatic's coconut milk powder is sourced from Cocos nucifera, called the 'Tree of Life' in Southeast Asia. Four Sigmatic's organic coconut milk powder adds the perfect creamy consistency for extra indulgence that can be enjoyed by anyone, anytime.
Four Sigmatic Frequently Asked Questions
Are their products suitable for vegans? What about people with allergies?
Yes. All their products are vegan, wheat-free, gluten-free, cholesterol-free, sugar-free, soy-free, peanut-free, and nut-free. They also are free from pesticides, additives, and other zombie ingredients that the GMO people promote.
Where do their products grow?
Just like all good superfood manufacturers, they can't get all their ingredients from one single farm or area if they want to create ideal solutions. They need to source products from all over the world, from the places where they originally grew and/or where there's an exhaustive history and knowledge of using these foods and herbs. For example, their Chaga is wildcrafted in rural Siberia, their coconut products are collected from Mindanao (an island in the Philippines known for its rich soil), their kava kava is grown on a tropical island in Vanuatu, their yohimbe is brought from Cameroon (the area in Central Africa where it was originally used), and the list goes on. They're constantly looking for new quality suppliers and visiting existing farmers/producers.
How much of their products can I use each day?
All of their products are quite strong, but still tonic. This means that there's no real health danger in overdosing. Just remember that a high enough dose of anything, including water and apples, can be toxic for your body. There's still no need to take breaks or adopt cyclical consumption patterns. Rather, it's wise to use the products consistently, to beat minor illnesses before they arise. Treating the cause is always healthier than curing the symptoms (such as by drinking the products only after you've become ill).
They recommend starting the use of new (even tonic) products with slightly smaller-than-normal dosages (e.g., one sachet of mushrooms) to get a feel for their potency and to give the body a chance to adapt to the new intelligence coming into it. After a few weeks of taking gradually increasing dosages, feel free to go ahead and drink as much as you like each day. Just listen to your body and your cravings, and all should be fine.
