How Does Siete Choose Their Ingredients?
They have gone to the end of the Earth to find the best ingredients for their tortillas. The almonds, avocados, chia, coconut, and cassava that go into them have been selected to best exemplify how these ingredients should be grown and used in food. Long story, short: when you bite into a Siete tortilla you should be proud of what you're eating, be able to eat it, guilt-free and you should love the taste so much that you tell all your friends, or at least scream to the heavens.

What Is Cassava?
Cassava is a tuberous starchy root (like potatoes or yams) native to Brazil and other tropical areas of the Americas. As a tuberous root vegetable, cassava is gluten-free, grain-free, and nut-free, as well as paleo-friendly. When searching for the perfect cassava flour, they opted for a greater variety of texture in order to retain the root's high-fiber content. The milling of super-fine cassava flour results in the loss of the diverse nutritional profile that makes cassava such an attractive option in the first place.

Are There Any GMO's in Siete Products?
No! Their products have all been verified by the non-GMO project.

Are Siete Products Organic?
Their products are currently not certified organic. Siete sources only the highest quality ingredients for their grain-free products, and they we will be pursuing organic certification as soon as possible. They already use as many organic ingredients as they can source.

How Long Do Siete Tortilla Chips Keep?
Their chips will be best before 150 days after production, long enough to still be good after you hibernated through the long winter.

The Siete Family Foods Story
Siete Family Foods was born when their family helped Veronica Garz (Co-Founder) overcome a series of major health challenges. As a teenager, she was diagnosed with multiple debilitating autoimmune conditions that almost wrecked her life. Veronica was fatigued, overweight, and depressed.

But with her family's love and support, she was able to get better. Together, their family of seven (siete!) started exercising in her parents' backyard, and they even opened up their own Cross Fit gym.

The family began learning about the ways that food can either heal or harm you. At her brother's urging, she decided to adopt a low-inflammation, grain-free diet, and her whole family chose to join in on the journey.

As a Mexican-American family from South Texas, the tacos and fajitas that they used to enjoy on flour and corn tortillas just didn't taste the same on a lettuce leaf! So she began making grain-free tortillas for her family, and they loved them. Veronica knew she had something really special when her Grandma Campos told her that the tortillas tasted better than the homemade flour tortillas she'd made for decades!

Veronica's family knew that they couldn't keep their delicious, grain-free Mexican food to themselves, so they're delighted to share it with you, from their dining table to yours.
