With over 30 years as a healthcare professional, Sandra has worked with individuals, corporations, hospitals, and government agencies. Her experience in academics, research, healthcare administration, and entrepreneurial ventures has given her a wealth of knowledge pertaining to individual behavior and environmental influences as they contribute to health promotion and disease prevention. Her involvement with research supported by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and National Institute of Health (NIH), coupled with broad professional experience, including the American Heart Association, UCLA Center for Health Enhancement, and as Administrative Director for Tahoe Forest Health System contributes substantial depth and breadth of knowledge and expertise in exercise, nutrition, disease management and health communication. She holds a Masters degree in Exercise Physiology from McGill University, Montreal, Canada, a Masters in Public Health from UCLA, and a Ph.D in Preventive Medicine from the University of Southern California.

Steve Farrar, MSc – Mycology Expert
Since obtaining his Masters in Horticulture from Washington State University in 1982 Steve has applied his expertise to the development of production methodologies for both fresh and mycelia mass mushrooms products. Steve developed proprietary Solid State Fermentation methodology and equipment for the production of medicinal mushrooms on organic substrate and has traveled world-wide to evaluate, select and obtain fungal tissue cultures for propagation and production of Antrodia camphorata, Agaricus blazei, Cordyceps militaris, Ganoderma lucidum, Grifola frondosa, Hercium erinaceus, Hypsizygus marmoreus, Lentinula edodes, Pleurotus eryngii and Trametes versicolor medicinal mushroom species. He is sought out as a speaker and consultant for his expertise in the mycological kingdom and its application for health and the environment.

Whitney Benjamin – Director of Marketing
Whitney has made a career in the health and lifestyle sector managing digital and traditional campaigns for brands like lululemon athletica, Electra Bicycle and now NRG Matrix. She found her love for fitness and nutrition as a collegiate softball player for the University of California Los Angeles, when balancing school, a demanding training and game schedule, and trying to maintain health proved to be difficult. She faced some serious health challenges and began researching holistic cures and everything pointed back to nutrition. From the moment she read her first book on eating clean, she changed her life and discovered a passion that she hoped she could share with anyone who would listen. Now she leads Mi Matrix's marketing and community teams to help inspire the world to use medicinal mushrooms in their daily health and wellness routine.

Tara Farrar – Logistics Manager
Tara graduated cum laude with a Bachelors of Arts from California State University San Marcos in 2005. Daughter of Mycologist Steve Farrar, Tara has a lifetime of familiarity with mushrooms and mycology. She has in-depth experience with all areas of the company including; fulfillment, sales, customer service, graphic arts, shopping cart maintenance, logistics, and shipping.
