Coenzyme Q-10 (as ubiquinone) performs several important health supporting roles in the body. Solgar Ubiquinol (the reduced form of CoQ-10) provides advanced antioxidant support. By supplementing with Ubiquinol, you are providing your body with a form of CoQ-10 that is in a ready-to-use state to help fight free radicals. Free radicals can cause oxidative stress which may damage cells. Solgar Ubiquinol 200 mg is offered in oil-based softgels to ensure optimal absorption and assimilation.
The body converts ubiquinone to ubiquinol back and forth many times a second as it carries out its job of energy production in the mitochondria. Both ubiquinone and ubiquinol promote heart health and provide energy support.
Ubiquinol is also an important lipid-soluble antioxidant produced in the body. It helps to protect the mitochondria and its lipid membranes from the abundant free radicals that are by-products of energy production. Additionally, it helps to protect lipids in the blood from free radicals, including LDL cholesterol, and helps to recycle vitamin E.
Some people cannot optimally convert ubiquinone in their cell membranes due to a genetic variation (called "SNP"). This means they may not recieve full antioxidant support. The conversion process also becomes less efficient as we age. Supplementing with ubiquinol provides the body with a form of CoQ-10 in a ready-to-use state to help fight cell-damaging free radicals.
Suggested Use

Great supplement
Love that it’s a lozenge. Good taste so no arguments from the teenager taking them😊

Very rough
Well, health wise I’m assuming they do what they are supposed to do but calling them a ‘lozenge’ is a stretch. After the first one (directions say to let it dissolve, do not chew) my mouth got sore. Those things are ROUGH!!! I ended up dissolving them in boiling water (not an easy task) just to get them useable.
Needless to say, after a week or so I quit using. They need to be smoother and actually have the ability to dissolve.
