    When baking with VeganEgg, it is recommended that you reduce the amount of water used for each VeganEgg in the recipe. See the general guidelines printed on the packaging for more details.

    In gluten free recipes, use 1/4 cup ice cold water for each VeganEgg.

                                         


    Garden Herb & Vegetable Spiral Quiche Recipe

    Ingredients

    • 1 9-inch vegan pie crust, thawed according to package
    • 1 package Follow Your Heart Garden Herb Slices
    • 1 orange carrot
    • 2 purple carrots
    • 2 zucchini
    • 6 level tablespoons Follow Your Heart VeganEgg
    • 1 ¼ cup ice-cold water
    • ½ cup ice-cold soymilk, or other non-dairy, creamer
    • 3/4 teaspoon sea salt, plus dash
    • ½ teaspoon finely ground black pepper, plus dash
    • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme, finely chopped

    Instructions

    - Preheat oven to 400°.

    -Poke crust with fork and bake empty, for about 10 minutes or as directed on package. Set aside.

    -Meanwhile, using a vegetable peeler, peel carrots and zucchini into long thin ribbons, going all the way through vegetables. Set aside.

    -Cut each slice Follow Your Heart Garden Herb Slices into thirds, creating rectangular strips. Set aside.

    -In a mixing bowl, measure VeganEgg powder. Add ice cold water and creamer, sea salt, pepper, and fresh thyme. Whisk until smooth and uniform. Set aside.

    -Coil vegetables and cheese in spiral shape, starting with a tight coil for center of quiche.  Alternate with different colored carrots, zucchini and a few slices of cheese, building from center of crust towards edge. Sprinkle with dash sea salt and pepper.

    -Reduce heat to 350°.

    -Pour VeganEgg mixture on top. Bake until firm, about 50-55 minutes.

    Suggested Use

    Delicious Scrambled "Eggs"
    1. Whisk or blend 2 level (unpacked) tablespoons of VeganEgg per 1/2 cup of ice cold water until smooth.
    2. Heat a lightly-oiled skillet to medium-high.
    3. Pour mixture into hot skillet ("egg" should sizzle in pan) and immediately begin to scramble.
    4. Scramble frequently and evenly with a spatula until eggs are firm. VeganEgg takes longer than regular eggs, so it is recommended 7-9 minutes to your preferred texture. Season to taste and enjoy!

    Great supplement
    Love that it’s a lozenge. Good taste so no arguments from the teenager taking them😊

    Very rough
    Well, health wise I’m assuming they do what they are supposed to do but calling them a ‘lozenge’ is a stretch. After the first one (directions say to let it dissolve, do not chew) my mouth got sore. Those things are ROUGH!!! I ended up dissolving them in boiling water (not an easy task) just to get them useable.
    Needless to say, after a week or so I quit using. They need to be smoother and actually have the ability to dissolve.
