Vitamin C is needed for amino acid metabolism and the utilization of many nutrients, such as folic acid and iron. Vitamin C is also a highly effective antioxidant that can protect the body‘s cells and molecules from damage by free radicals and reactive oxygen species that can be generated during normal metabolism, as well as through exposure to environmental toxins and pollutants. In addition, Vitamin C is important for the regeneration of other antioxidants such as Vitamin E.

Warnings

Great supplement
Love that it’s a lozenge. Good taste so no arguments from the teenager taking them😊

Very rough
Well, health wise I’m assuming they do what they are supposed to do but calling them a ‘lozenge’ is a stretch. After the first one (directions say to let it dissolve, do not chew) my mouth got sore. Those things are ROUGH!!! I ended up dissolving them in boiling water (not an easy task) just to get them useable.
Needless to say, after a week or so I quit using. They need to be smoother and actually have the ability to dissolve.
