    A source of savory, natural sardines, tuna, mackerel, and trout, Cole’s brings together environmental stewardship and nutritious, gourmet fish under a single roof. Only fish that’s produced using the latest in sustainable wild catching (fishing) or farming techniques gets selected. The fresh, clean, protein-rich fish found in each tin is usually available in one of several different packing liquids, such as olive oil, cracked pepper, oregano, piri-piri sauce, or garlic and parsley. These additions keep the meat fresher and add delicious natural flavors.

    Cole’s fish products are obtained from specific fisheries if they’re wild-caught, or farmed to a very high quality standard. Tuna, for instance, is caught off Cape Verde using eco-friendly pole and line fishing techniques. Line and hook is used for mackerel, too, reducing bycatch of other species and preventing most harm to seabirds and other oceanic creatures. Sweet, succulent Portuguese sardines are harvested using traditional fishing techniques, then hand-cleaned, cooked in a grill oven, and canned within hours.

    The deliciousness that Cole’s offers extends to their trout, some of which is sustainably farmed in an eco-friendly manner. The trout are raised in a running, natural stream so that the water is always fresh and pure, with barriers in place to prevent the fish from escaping. The stream comes directly from clean, pollution-free springs in the mounts, fed by snowmelt, rain, and other parts of the natural water cycle. This leads to great-tasting, nutritious fish, unlike the fish produced by conventional factory farming, and is much healthier for the environment.
