Dang Was a Way of Honoring the Founder’s Mother

Vincent K. decided a couple of years ago to open up a small restaurant. When his mom heard about this, she quickly wrote down her recipe for Thai lettuce wraps. One of the ingredients for the wraps was toasted coconut. As soon as Vincent got a smell and a taste of that delicious toasted coconut, he knew he was on to something good. This introduction to toasted coconut was what gave Vincent the idea of starting his own snack food company. To honor his mother, and to show his appreciation of her kind suggestion, Vincent named the company Dang (his mother’s first name) after her.
