    Olbas

Olbas Uses Carefully-Chosen Essential Oils to Improve Breathing

Helping people breathe more easily, Olbas unleashes the power of a unique Swiss essential oil blend to clear the passages and refresh the lungs. Olbas essential oils include peppermint oil that enhances the function of breathing passages. Eucalyptus oil relaxes respiratory muscles for deeper breathing, while boosting oxygen absorption. Cajeput oil soothes the bronchial and sinus tissues, and juniper berry oil stimulates better immunity. Wintergreen oil soothes and warms, while clove oil refreshes. Blended together, these oils comprise the flagship breathing oil mix of Olbas.

Teas, Bath Liquids, and More from Olbas’ Skilled Herbalists

Olbas has branched out beyond their original product, though this stimulating inhalant and massage oil is still the backbone of their business. They now offer pocket inhalers for relief on the go, plus lozenges and pastilles that suppress coughs and heal aching throats. Their cough syrup provides more heavy-duty relief. Other products that make use of this refreshing herbal blend include instant herbal tea and all-natural bath liquid for recreating a Swiss spa in the home.

Over a Century of High Quality European Relief from Olbas

The name of Olbas comes from the Classical Latin phrase Oleum Basileum, or “Oil from Basel.” Swiss herbalists and botanists from Basel developed this invigorating blend of essential oils in the first few years of the 20th century. In the 1940s, a German woman from Oak Creek, Wisconsin named Heidi Ritter began to import Olbas and distribute it for cough and breathing relief in the cold Midwestern winters. Eventually, Penn Herb Company took over the importation of this refreshing supplement from Switzerland’s picturesque, pristine mountains.
