The founder of Parissa, Azar Moayeri, was the first woman to ever graduate as a Chemical Engineer from the University of Edinburgh. Afterwards, she lead an all male Petrochemical team in Iran and was even promoted more quickly than the many men before her. When she left Iran due to the political climate, she moved to Canada where she had trouble finding proper waxing treatments that weren’t toxic or containing harsh chemicals. That’s when she decided to start Parissa. Based in her family kitchen, she began with only a few natural ingredients. She continues her legacy today by providing innovative and holistic waxing products for her growing company.
