In the 1980’s, two architects had big dreams of creating cleverly designed products. They theorized that even the humble toothbrush could be reinvented and they set about proving their theory. The first Radius design toothbrush wasn’t a big hit with the New York ad agencies but it was a big with consumers. With 6,500 bristles and a palm-friendly design, The Original, sold out in a flash at Turpan Sanders, a leading design store in the United States. From there the brand took off, winning awards, being added to the Smithsonian National Institute Design Museum and getting their own 16,500 square feet facility in Pennsylvania.

Environmentally Friendly from Production Process to Finished Product

Radius works hard to ensure that their products are environmentally friendly from the first step of production to the last use of the product. The carbon footprint of Radius products is offset even from the start, as the Radius facility includes solar collectors that are responsible for 67% of the electrical power the facility uses. Radius also creates their products from bioplastics, agricultural byproducts or recycled bottles. Their dental products last longer and are less wasteful than other similar products because of the unique design. When possible, Radius creates compostable, biodegradable or recyclable products to minimize waste.
