Science and Herbalism Meet in ShiKai’s Healthy Formulas

ShiKai understands the importance of both ancient herbalism and modern scientific method. Each of their wellness-boosting personal care and beauty products undergoes an exacting process to make sure it’s effective. Ingredients and formulas get tested for pure content and effective intensity. They carry out scientific research to establish the safety of each formula before putting it into production. Then, the whole manufacturing process occurs, using high-grade modern methods, at their California facility, so they can monitor every phase to produce the healthy products you need.

From the Ancient Healing Haircare of India to Modern American Herbal Beauty Care

Dr. Dennis Sepp started his quest for therapeutic natural personal care formulas back in 1970. His insight that natural ingredients offered a greater range of positive benefits to well-being and good looks, compared to conventional chemicals, soon paid off. He rediscovered a traditional Indian subcontinent hair treatment using a species of acacia known locally as “shikakai.” His first shampoo used acacia extract to protect, hydrate, and nourish hair while it cleaned it. He named it ShiKai – a name he also gave to the company he founded in that year to bring wholesome natural personal care to America.
