Spectrum Essentials Supports an Organic and Chemical-Free Diet

Founded in 1986, Spectrum Naturals was closely followed by its sister company, Spectrum Essentials. Both companies were committed to bringing to the market high-quality goods and diet essentials that would be organic, non-GMO and chemical free. They set about to accomplish this goal by producing cold-pressed oils and dietary supplements that natural health enthusiasts could feel good about using. The brand collectively offers more than 30+ expeller pressed culinary oils and many other dietary supplement products.

An Innovative Company with First on the Market Products

The Spectrum brand isn’t keen to just sit back – they are leading innovators in the industry and have led the testing for the absence of genetically modified organisms in the culinary oils it provides. Spectrum was the first to introduce all-vegetable shortening without hydrogenated oils and trans-fat. Their flax processing facility is one of the largest in the United States and the relationship they have developed with the farmers of their sourced flax is unlike other natural supplement companies. Spectrum also contributes to the alternative bio-fuels industry by providing the excess canola oil they use to clean their processing equipment.

A History of Sustainability and Quality for Spectrum Essentials

In 2005, Spectrum was acquired by Hain Celestial, a leading company in the natural health and lifestyle industry. The company has continuously been vigilant about sourcing their ingredients, the way that each product is produced and packaged to ensure that they leave as small a carbon footprint as possible. Along with Hain Celestial, Spectrum wants to ensure that resources are sustained for future generations as well.
