Regulating Thyroid Function
Iodine is a critical element in your thyroid hormones thyroxin (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3). Your pituitary gland secretes the thyroid-stimulation hormone (TSH) to control thyroid hormone production and secretion, protecting your body from hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism. In the absence of sufficient iodine, the thyroid-stimulation hormone (TSH) in your body can remain elevated, leading to enlargement of the thyroid gland, which represents your body’s attempt to trap more iodine to produce thyroid hormones. Thyroid hormones also are necessary for development of proper skeletal and central nervous systems in fetuses and infants.

Great supplement
Love that it’s a lozenge. Good taste so no arguments from the teenager taking them😊

Very rough
Well, health wise I’m assuming they do what they are supposed to do but calling them a ‘lozenge’ is a stretch. After the first one (directions say to let it dissolve, do not chew) my mouth got sore. Those things are ROUGH!!! I ended up dissolving them in boiling water (not an easy task) just to get them useable.
Needless to say, after a week or so I quit using. They need to be smoother and actually have the ability to dissolve.
