Creating Good Food, Building Healthy Communities is the Annie’s Way

Eating healthy foods, snacks, and nutrition bars is an important part of living well. That’s why Annie’s leaves nothing to chance in making their delicious, natural, and organics foods. Their recipes are simple and straightforward, which results in meals, snacks, and condiments that are simply irresistible – and good for you, too. Their goal is to make honest foods, and for that reason they have a top ten list of ingredients that are easiest to supply sustainably and organically. Organic wheat, fair trade sugarcane, top quality, nutritious cacao, sustainable palm oil, and healthful grass-fed dairy all have a role to play.

Annie’s Foods are Great-Tasting but Easy on the Environment

Not only is Annie’s guided by the principles of supplying great-tasting, healthy, nutritious foods, their code of ethics embraces eco-sensitive practices, too. They only use suppliers who are willing to actively work to reduce waste, treat their workers fairly, and conserve both water and energy. Their packaging also focuses on the need to save the planet. 90% of the packaging they use can be either recycled or composted to prevent it from ending up in the landfill. Around half their packaging is made with Recycled Paperboard Alliance materials, too.

How Annie’s Contributed to Sustainable Health Eating with a Bunny & a Dream

Thoroughly committed to both organic, regenerative agriculture and cute bunnies, Annie’s is a special company that’s always been committed to health and environmentalism. Annie Withey started the company back in 1989, making savory mac and cheese and on a mission to create a socially responsible enterprise. She used the image of her pet bunny, Bernie, as the company’s emblem. Both Bernie’s friendly image and Annie’s commitment to building a healthier, happier world continue to be the cornerstones of the company to this day. In fact, Annie’s is now one of the leaders in pioneering a more sustainable food system worldwide.
